It felt really weird, hurtful and pitiful seeing Mokyeon join hands and beg Sunhwa.
Also, I have mixed feelings towards whatever happened. Nanjo's outrage is justified cos he must've thought he'd cleanly cut things off which were unilaterally enforced unto him by Mokyeon and he'd just sweep everything under a rug and get along well with Sunhwa along with the feeling of protectorship that he felt of protecting Sunhwa from Mokyeon.
But Mokyeon just had to reveal everything in front of Sunhwa because the first season was from Mokyeon's point of view. We understood how deep his yearning was and how he wanted Nanjo to look at him with loving eyes and whatever. He wanted Nanjo for himself, and that is the reason why he did all of those things. It was in front of a third party, in front of a person whom Nanjo wanted to hide everything from, but it still got revealed in such a dirty way. Nanjo's outrage is kind of justified.
But now that we know the background story of Mokyeon, it's painful to watch him struggle to even clearly say what he wants to say, or the need to be manipulative to get the person he wants. We can clearly see his reasoning. He is a broken person. He does not understand that the things he had done have hurt someone. He's completely broken inside, and it's clearly visible here. It's transparent. That's why Nanjo hurting him feels even more painful.
Now things have developed to an extent where it's highly impossible for me to predict anything. It's like, would there be a character arc? Would there be a redemption arc? All we know is that there would be months and months of angst and agony for Mokyeon. We don't even know what Nanjo's perspective is like, what he feels about all of this, what he's doing, or what will happen now that will make things go south. How will they meet each other? How will they repair the relationship?
I don't know anything, and it's going to kill me while I read this. I'm telling you.
