I was thinking the same thing!! I was ignoring most of it bcz the story is actually really cute, but when they were first playing againt the other duo and there was a scene where it was "out" and there wasn't a single line on the sand... yeah, no rules are to apply here lol
i also felt lost while reading the volleyball scenes it was rlly confusing for me to follow along idk if its js me tho and maybe its bc im expecting them to play like an actual beach player would but i did really like the story in the end!
ive only read one chapter but as a volleyball player, its obvious that theyve never played because things like the score are wrong. in beach, the score goes to 21 (25 is for indoor). one of the guys also scores by doing an illegal move (his back wasnt parallel/lined up to where he was setting), and from the way they are drawing the characters playing, its obvious they have never played. i dont even think they have lines set up on their court lowkey still gonna read tho i just find it interesting how volleyball is percieved as someone who primarily plays indoor volleyball and has played beach volleyball
