hmm well as we can see here, Kloff is the only one who retained the first timeline memories. When I said first timeline ofc the torture, abuse, etc he made. Also he still sees Aeroc as a demon lmaooo. Kloff also remembers how he accidentally killed his own son and this torment him. This chapter is supposedly where Aeroc will fall in love with Kloff in first sight which he actually did BUT Kloff treats him bad and he becomes terrified of him that he decided to avoid Kloff Kloff will be the one who's wagging his tail and actually chasing Arroc
As usual, Aeroc's family has a financial problem like in these timelines so for Kloff to keep kmhim by his side, he forced Aeroc to agree with his contract. In exchange to save Aeroc's financial burdens, aeroc has no choice but to accept the terms with kloff in exchange of his body. so there, they slept with each other, and kloff is realizing to this point he loves aeroc but Aeroc on the other hand doesn't even love him anymore or more like terrified. Aeroc simply sees their relationship as fuck buddies and this will torment Kloff. All the events will mirror to Kloff as something traumatic to him because he will just keep on remembering the past. This time,after kloff saw how terrified Aeroc was, he decided to stop being toxic. Kloff realizing that his presence and the contract are only traumatizing Aeroc, Kloff undergoes a massive change . Instead of forcing Aeroc to stay, Kloff steps back. He stops pressuring Aeroc, takes care of Aeroc’s financial burdens without demanding anything in return, and gives him true space. This selfless change is the first time Aeroc sees Kloff not as a predator/toxic, but as someone who genuinely cares for his well-being and he starts to remember also the first timeline so he understands why Kloff was actibg that way (yeah ik it's awful).

I've read the novel and this is gonna be goooood! The remorse Kloff will feel that he's the only one who remembers and the way he will get possessive will always be the best scenes in this timeline
