Probably? Anatomically men have thicker bones, higher bone density, higher muscle mass so yeah I would think so. Though those thoughts are all just excuses to temporarily put down their humanity and thoughts of civilisation. Even if it were a girl they'd come up with another excuse to be rough so it's just a thing about their humanity more than a male or female thing.

That went better than I thought it would. I was genuinely ready to cry about my precious baby getting hurt...
Also I have a genuine question. This isn't the first time I've seen "he's a man so I can be rough with him" is there any legit reason for this? Like a hole will tear if you're not careful so it can't be that. Do they mean like in a general way? I can manhandle him and not break his bones type of way? Is there that much difference between the strength of men and women? I don't have brothers and men have never been rough around me so I'm actually confused
