I don't get why everyone is so negative? Yeah this vague open ending can be interpreted both ways but to me it was clear that it's not a final farewell for either of them. Was it a final closure and satisfying? Definitely not! Did we get a resolution on Kyoujis and Satomis feelings? Yeah, even if that too isn't satisfying! xD I think the author did great on giving a realistic ending that isn't clean cut just as in real life almost never are all loose ends are tied up...
