high school students wear their uniforms to graduation. teachers can wear any school-appropriate formal wear, which includes hakama. college graduates also wear hakama! i have no source for this next comment but since that was what women used to wear as school attire before uniforms came into fashion i personally find it to be a very scholarly look :3

Just a question but on that last picture why are they wearing kimonos? It's the graduation of their students no?
