So....may I am imagining things but I have a theory on why for Jakar Mushnu is his partner but Mushnu is just ??

Ok so you guys remember obaran didnt have the eye of Natam? I feel like he could kinda choose anyone he wanted....and I think he was with Mushnu. in chapter 5 when Tei encounters Nashid for the first time Nahsan says:
"So they really send a man huh?" "That Obaran must have been teaching my little brother his own deviant ways"
So for me this is confirmation that Obaran must have also been into men.....and I dont know maybe he and mushnu were a couple and when he went to Leracal with Tei got separated?
Also the fact that Obaran dies while Mushnu is abroad....maybe he even asked his brother to look after both of them? Because unless i missed anything Mushnu only goes briefly back to bring Shuraka.....Σ( ￣□￣||)
