im so happy i let this marinate because i would not have the patience to wait for weekly updates for this masterpiece (i learnt my lesson with utgl lol)
this was such a great story wow man. hyeonjin revealing his ‘second identity’ and job to jaewon so early on made this even better. in most stories, things like this are usually dragged out and it honestly annoys me bc as a reader we already know both sides of the story and we’re always waiting for the bomb to drop, so i think this approach was excellent
the maturity in this relationship was amazing. both sides were not childish and acted like actual adults in my opinion. i really loved how hyeonjin never hid his feelings and always showed his cards; he never played games or acted stupid. and despite jaewon going through such turmoil himself after learning about spot_right, he still expressed himself well and was upright about his feelings and thoughts - he never led on hyeonjin. both of them are such great partners to each other. and these days, it is incredibly fucking rare to find a bl or yaoi without rape or sexual assault between the main couple, so it truly was a breath of fresh air to see consensual sex each time. sure hyeonjin could go overboard sometimes, but there was always a boundary drawn that he never crossed and the sex was always enthusiastic on both sides. it wasn’t a typical thing of the top going overboard and continuing with his wants while the bottom was saying no and begging to stop midway. it’s genuinely the bear minimum but it’s rare to see in yaois in recent times (yes i know rape/sa isn’t anything new to the bl/yaoi scene and has been here since the dawn of time, but there is a very clear increase in it recently)
genuinely the only critique i have is that i wish jaewon told hyeonjin about sihyeong (i think thats his name) i just wanted to see hyeonjin be an even bigger asshole to that rat. oh and i wished to see more of hyeonjin biting jaewon haha
overall, i just think this was a fantastic story with a beautiful relationship, and an easy five stars from me. despite being 74 chapters, i still feel like this wasnt enough. it’s the type of story that ends and youre still begging for more. i really hope we get side stories and theyre overly drawn out. this was just so good, i love it so much
