Spoilers - this is a brief summary of what happens in timeline/ season 3!!!!
Here’s what happens:
Kloff wakes up with all of his memories and the first thing he feels is pure horror.
He remembers Aeroc causing Raphael’s death, the years he spent torturing Aeroc, keeping him imprisoned, their children, Aeroc dying in his arms, and then finally realizing (way too late) that he had actually loved Aeroc all along.
He understands that both of them completely destroyed each other in the first timeline but he can’t get the image of Aeroc dying out of his head. It literally haunts him all the time (as seen in season 2).
He also expects Aeroc to be exactly the same person as before but unlike Timeline 2, Aeroc has absolutely no memories at all.
Kloff doesn’t believe that at first. Every time Aeroc smiles at him Kloff immediately thinks it’s fake, that the obsession is starting all over again and that it’s only a matter of time before Raphael dies again. So instead of avoiding Aeroc, he ends up being really cold towards him.
He insults him, keeps his distance emotionally, watches everything Aeroc does, and is basically convinced history is repeating itself until he slowly realizes this Aeroc is actually innocent and doesn’t remember a single thing.
He notices this version of Aeroc is kind, awkward, genuine, actually interested in getting to know him and completely unaware of everything that happened between them in the previous life.
Once he understands that Aeroc has no memories, the guilt hits him like a truck and he starts remembering every horrible thing he did to Aeroc and he realizes that although Aeroc did a horrible thing in the first timeline, he also chose revenge over and over again instead of letting it go.
After that, Kloff can’t bring himself to hate Aeroc anymore and instead, he starts finding excuses to stay close to him. He helps him whenever he can especially with things Aeroc struggles with and even though he tells himself it’s just to stop history from repeating itself he knows deep down the real reason but he just can’t bear losing Aeroc again.
The more time he spends with this innocent version of Aeroc, the harder he falls for him. He gets really protective and honestly a little possessive because he’s terrified that something will happen and he’ll lose Aeroc all over again. He’s constantly overthinking everything and is scared that if Aeroc ever finds out what happened in the first timeline, he’ll hate him forever so Kloff keeps the truth to himself.
Eventually, Aeroc genuinely falls in love with Kloff in this new timeline. This time their relationship isn’t built on obsession, revenge etc, it actually develops naturally but even after they get together Kloff never feels like he deserves Aeroc (OBVIOUSLY
