My assumption is that male omegas need to stay in the hospital for at least a month post op to check for complications due to differing positions and the lack of research in obs and gynae cause they hate all things feminine in healthcare I guess. That would make the baby about 2-3 months which would make it more accurate. My baby sister was a pretty healthy size for a premie cause she got hit with steroids to boost her growth (our mum has cancer) and holding her 2 months after was NOTHING like holding her a week after. She was so big and fluffy and soft and not wrinkly like a prune. I will say, he’s sleeping with the baby wrong. You never ever sleep with the baby on your chest. If the baby is asleep, it needs to be in its own cot or you need to stay awake to help if it starts suffocating. I did child development in high school and the teacher practically screamed this stuff to us since she knew a woman who’s child passed during a nap and she didn’t notice cause she was asleep :(( it should be common knowledge but certainly not common enough and with how Asian parents value cosleeping over sleep independence, I can see them blatantly ignoring this safety rule.

but another week of yelling “THAT’S NOT HOW A NEWBORN IS” to the void
