I think what Kim Heejae is looking for in terms of music is something embodies calm flowing waters? From what I’ve gathered from Garam’s playing of jeux d’eau was that it embodies water lilies from Monet (paintings from his water lily series are always surrounded by vast amounts of water) and the meaning of jeux d’eau from what I gathered online literally means “playing water” and with all this in mind I search the Chopin piece that Heejae plays in ch 82 (Chopin Ballade No 4. Op 52) was that it was said that it had harmonic flow which brings us back to the time Heejae mentioned Legato and that Garam has that specific skill. I think he’s looking for something that is soothing with calming flow much like flowing waters? Correct me if I’m wrong with anything (I have no knowledge or insight on music) or I’m looking too much into it haha and please do add your analysis of all of this.
