Penelope knowing it switch the cup and try to suicide cause she also fed up from all thats happening and the prince stay by her side all day long beside her bed waiting to open her eyes wishing hes gonna do what ever she want and get her out of this hell just open her eyes ( she done that cause maybe it my bring her back to the original world but it did not ).

From what I remember in novel it have side story about marriage and penelope being Archaeologist in the empire so waiting cus I did not finish the novel hahahaha
