There are 2 things that need to consider here:
1. The father wants his children to fear him. To know that he's more superior than him. To know that despite his children have power, he's still above to him coz he shaped and gave them all of that. He wants a child who treats him like a god.
2. For fun. He's a sociopath (I think) and a psycho motherfucker.
I don’t understand the rationale of this psychopathic father…if you want an heir who obey, honors, and carries forth the family legacy. Why break the mental and emotional states of your children so completely? To what end?
Leaders that would be able to lead what I assume is a Chaebol Conglomerate need to have a level of confidence and autonomy along with genuine care for the legacy to do it properly.
Nothing this monster does even remotely encourages that possibility. I’m not saying nor expecting him to be a doting/caring parent but there’s a lot between that and the terrorizing torturer he currently is. It baffles me.
