I feel like people don’t grasp how terrified Teach is and that’s why he’s acting so obvious, he’s fearing for not only his own life but the life of the village as well because he’s seen first hand how unhinged Guwon is. He’s not being logical because he’s freaking out from the fear. The begging is proof of that, he’s bargaining for his life.
