that's literally the point. they're one of the very few authors who don't treat rape and abuse as a fetish! like holy shit, the author perfectly captured what you should feel while reading it: anger, disgust, etc.

that's not evidence that it fetishizes rape? a story selling well doesn't mean it's glorifying or fetishizing abuse. by that logic, any successful work depicting murder, war, or human trafficking would be promoting those things. popularity and portrayal are two different issues
As the title says, a small glance of fetish. There were scenes that were genuinely unnecessary that made the story seem that of smut than psychological. The author is already slightly weird. Her story, Ennui had a side story that made a grown adult kiss a highschooler. Im sure this story struck out to you to defend it with your heart but its a bit obvious of the stories flaws.
They felt unnecessary to you which doesnt make the author or the overall story bad

This manhwa could have been written so much better. The overall story was good but the amount of trauma and rpe scenes really just shows the author is thinly veiling their rpe fetish.
