Just read Kwak Hajun's Observation Diary, I love both of these authors' works so much. My theory for why Hajun wanted to get home with Inwoo (is actually not a unique theory) is because he wanted to get bitten and turned by Inwoo in the place where they first met as a final act of love and friendship. He found it pointless to survive alone. I like to think it could've been anything out of all the possibilities; it may have all been a dream, maybe the Hajun and Inwoo at the end in college are them from the Observation Diary in the future, or maybe all 3 (in the apocalypse, in college, and in high school) are them in parallel universes. Maybe, maybe.
