I think you might be confusing it with another story or something, because I read the novel and that's not what happened.
It happened just like here where she decided to stay to save Callisto and because she didn't miss her old life or family enough to leave him behind.
It's a spoiler that i read, so yeah I'm just confuse
So this one is actually accurate in the novel?? IF SOOO THAT'S AMAZING CAUSE I LOVED THIS VERSION MORE!! and it makes more sense when u said that she didn't missed her old life

choose to go back, scolded her family then callisto went to her wolrd. So this ending is Great but i was expecting like more on the reality side all in all I still love it!!
