This story could have been so good and it's obvious mysterious skin is a inspiration for the top backstory but the author uses the trauma he went through as a child as an excuse for the rape he himself does and misunderstands the SA Neil in mysterious skin does. The top is a grown ass man who knows right from wrong and he still made the active decision of raping someone while Neil sa a child when he himself is a kid, he does it right after he himself is raped because he wants to show off something new he learned and doesn't understand and thinks it will make the other kid feel good. I keep seeing edits of this and mysterious skin and it's annoying me bad like no Neil never fucking raped anyone as an adult he was constantly harming HIMSELF and putting himself in danger.
The story itself could be told more clearly too. Overall i think this story had a lot of potential but tries a little too hard to be pretentious also I find the fact the mcs are so obviously inspired by two real idols a bit creepy
