This would have easily been 4 stars for me (the "I can treat you better than him" trope is my guilty pleasure)... IF ONLY I DIDN'T UTTERLY DESPISE THE MALE LEAD!! I had such high hopes for him to be the typical kind male lead saving the main character from a toxic/abusive relationship and helping him find happiness, but he was just a stupid brat that immediately jumped to accusing the uke of having an affair with his father and causing his mother to commit suicide. Bitch do you really think your father, that abusive pos, kindly asked for his consent? The consent of someone who explicitly told you he can't leave because he was SOLD and has no other way of paying his debt?? Not to mention that he must have understood that this 'relationship' had already started before he left the mansion, when he (and therefore the uke) was still a literal child. And that doesn't make you question the uke's willingness about the matter?! We got NOT A SINGLE aknowledgement of how what the uke went through is grooming and rape (he was clearly a teenager not yet of age), and NOT an "affair", as the ml called it until the fucking end. NOT ONCE did the male lead regret how he treated the severely traumatized uke and jumped to conclusions. But what do I expect from someone who's clearly very similar to his father with the only difference being that the uke actually loves him and doesn't need to be coerced into having sex with him. I would have needed at least 10 more chapters of fluff between them to properly warm up to this male lead because come on, the author can't expect me to love him after how we saw him behave for 50 chapters
