Nah this was good in the beginning now it's just redundant. It's not a pretentious take when it's absolutely true that this blew up for a time. I understand the author wanting to keep the audience coming with the childhood friend gimmick back to back but it's making the story convoluted garbage.
This is what happens to stories when they blow up to quickly. There is just room for mediocrity to keep the story going cz of fear of never blowing up again. This is just shit ATP.
