Dependency, sometimes victims know they’re being exploited but are afraid to leave because they think they have no one else. Also, as we have seen before jiwook still has courage that he can escape, sometimes victims cling onto life despite being miserable because they have hope that things will one day get better. But in all honesty I think they deserve to be miserable together
