you mentioned the manhwa pisses you off. would you recommend reading the novel? im having a hard time getting through the manhwa cuz the mc is so insufferable
There's def more depth to him since you get all his thoughts and feelings which makes him understandable he's calculating which I find realistic like he analyses his circumstances which I think most of us do, makes him more interesting imo than some of the actual weak mcs without any sense, but then again I never found him insufferable tbh so upto you. I enjoyed the novel mostly coz I can't wait for the manhwa to play out during this arc and I can just skim, def skip whatever abomination the AU is at the end of the novel if you're gna read it.
I've read the novel a coupla times since I go back to the bits I like once the manhwa pisses me off, also the tension is well written and palpable which I enjoy. I like Jun, not my fave mc, but he's realistic and proud, has backbone whilst mostly playing it smart, Yohan is just crazy but he genuinely loves and respects Jun and despite everything Jun can't help but like Yohan who does come through for him I mean it was mostly Yohans fault but still the fact that he jumps to shield him is great, they're still toxic but they work, although I do think I woulda liked more grovelling anyway fair enough to Jun I would also eventually fold Yohans face is worth it. Despite the bullying arc they end up in a pretty equal relationship I would say, although ultimately if they'd just confessed to eachother before the BS misunderstanding at Yohans house we wda skipped the bad bits and he wdv been a more likeable yearner
