I really hope the author goes to therapy and settles whatever is mentally wrong with her that enables her to write stories with so much domestic violence. I also hope that she realizes gay men are real people who actually date in real life. The relationship between these two characters is a romanticized abusive mess that randomly became soft and fluffy?? I love dark romance as much as the next person, but this left a bad taste in my mouth. You dont go from non-con to fluff just like that, and narratives like this are dangerous for SA survivors.
