To those confused: Sayan(ml) was sick but it looks like he got well in the end thats why he's still alive or something really happened to that illness. The dead sayan thing was all ilic's dream, from the scene where he went out from the castle riding a horse til the snake wrapped around him then he woke up. He woke up crying because he realized in that dream that sayan genuinely love him. Maybe deep inside he realized he also has a tiny bit developed feelings toward him. Just maybe. Now, the missing part here that i hope in the next chapter theyll show is how or what cured sayan from his illness. Because it's either the illness is still present but got weak or it was cured. The note at the end of chapter is from the uploader/translator not the end of the side story because it doesnt make sense if thats really the end
