It wasn't intentional, obviously, but if she hadn't interfered, it would have been the other guy (thid prince Ig? I really suck with terms and names). I didn't see that scene as her being hypocritical and treating them coldly... they literally made a mistake and were just suffering the consequences of their actions. She was so "cold" that she even let them stay there with her? The one with red hair was trying to hurt Claude and the ML. And they were also planning to kidnap her to take her back. She was actually very kind to them, especially to Oliver.
