Not really. It's heavily inspired by Catholic/Christian lore and aesthetics but there are no meaningful references to the religion itself. At most, maybe some philosophical views on overall impact of Christianity type of religion on people.
Does this indirectly criticizes the Catholic Chruch? Esp the institution, the authority of the pope etc. Just took a peek at chap 1
