Love how every response to valid criticism is "have some critical thinking." Disagreeing with your interpretation IS critical thinking. God forbid people prefer an MC who's more active in his own story. Nobody's asking him to turn into a Navy SEAL overnight—we're saying the story itself hinted he might be more than an average guy, so it's fair to expect a little more initiative than we've been getting. Ppl still thinking that having critique of a character is equivalent to bashing the story is the real lack of critical thinking
