Also, I have a strong feeling the author loves Pilsang as a character and these two as a couple. I don’t know how to say it but some BLs have really good stories without the same vibe whereas this one, Pilsang is written with compassion and embued with so much personality while maintaining his own brand of scumbaginess. A lot of care has been put into crafting him and that’s what sets this story apart. He feels very much like a gangster, he isn’t cool, he isn’t well adjusted, he isn’t undefeatable instead he’s a product of circumstances, neglected and picked up by the worst people. He’s lived his life in the muck and he absolutely feels like it too.
