It's because this story goes into more details about the worldview and explore what it likes to be a dominant alpha or omega, which is not seen clearly yet in kiss me. The beginning starts slow but get better as their relationship progress. Meanwhile I have seen people finding kiss me if you can second half draggy cause of the miscommunication trope since both Josh and Chase keep avoid telling each other the truth.
