I've been on an anime spree as of late and I say this with all my heart that I am extremely happy to have become a new addition to this fandom In all honesty, this should've been considered an all time classic, especially given the very high score on MAL as well as the fact that this was released in the early 2000s. I can't believe that I've only learnt of its existence NOW just a few days ago when I was trying to search for another anime to binge watch

Man, I wish I was born earlier so I could've been part of a more larger and active fandom as compared to now Why is peak fiction hidden behind the popular slop of today, people really have no taste, it's sad. Still, as usual with my reviews, I will voice out that I do have some disappointments regarding the plot but nevertheless, all minute details that don't really matter in the long run, at least personally, bc the love I've come to develop within these 4 days for Hikaru no Go overpowers any criticism I have.

Hmm, I will comment on one thing: I have yet to read the manga (which I will do in a bit) but it seems like many people aren't too happy with Sai's passing. It's like the Death Note situation heh; still, in my most humble opinion, Sai's passing was absolutely necessary. Considering everything Sai was more of a burden to Hikaru and the real question would rather be the way he went, it left many loose ends that could've been written better. Well either way, it is what it is, my opinion of this hasn't changed. My review ends here, however, to you who's reading this, I hope you'll give this a try and appreciate it as much as I did like many others before us^^
