I read the novel so at the start it feels like he is asshole but he is not a red flag... During rut he needed someone because it was out of control and he was not sure about his attraction towards siyul because he never slept with men. So, when he got attracted towards siyul he did not have sex with anyone else. As siyul was beta, and when siyul ask him if during rut you will not meet me as they were hooking up and as beta he can't satisfy his rut so ml said he will take medications instead rather sleeping with someone else. So, ml is so down bad for siyul, he literally eye fuck him in the whole novel ... I don't remember much but he is a little bit yellow flag but not red in my opinion
