Added context is, back then korea was SOSOOSOSOSO poor so they concluded that they had no other choice but to send their kids away for a better life, problem is the organizatuom responsible for this is barely existent so most of the times the documents arent recorded, or just aren't there.
(Chapter 43) Just a while ago before I read this manhwa i watched a documentary on people who were adopted overseas as a baby would later in life as adults search for their bio parents and I'm so glad I'm seeing that representation here too, and i realise that it's so painful for them to realise that their bio parents are dead and that they could never be able to express their pain or joy to them, and it's the reality for many people who had to give up their kids for adoption whether they're in bad circumstances leaving them no choice but to give up their child or just horrible people who don't deserve children nevertheless it's heartbreaking for those people to learn the life that their parents led and sometimes they couldnt even find whoever gave birth to them like a ghost i think that's the most painful realisation imo but i feel the reason they still search for their parents anyway is because maybe they feel like there's a part of them that's missing and thus they go on these searches to find themselves or a part of who they are
