technically yes and no. he travels back in time w the ml and fl because he crawled out of his crib/or stretched out reaching for his parents? it was both the fl and ml one or the other who basically made a portal / magic circle in order to travel back in time. so the baby that is born in the second timeline is the same baby that was alive in the first timeline. it’s the same soul. sorry for the messy explanation it’s been a while since i read the novel.
Oh ok. Sorry for asking again but what I wanted to know was the baby killed? We saw fl being killed. But did the assassin kill the baby too? Was the baby alive when the ml was regretting in thr first time line?

Sooo in first time line he had to pretend no to love the fl Because he was cursed, curse is that if he uses to much mana the person he loves dies so he avoid fl so she can not live him and can live. She dies and he goes crazy and he regrets no communicating with her and ke basically does a spell to turn and which he does….
2nd time line she does a lot of changing he ends up being obsessed with her and she noticed, the guild guy major spoiler is he is cousin, Guild guys sees she had a curse helps her escape, the one that cause the curse was the high priest. He is MLs uncle . So big misunderstanding. She leaves ML twice, yes they get back together and I live for it
