There’s no cheating on either end so don’t worry about that. I understand cause I’m the same way. Nothing happens between him and the girl but for a while he thinks something does because he can’t remember anything (he got blackout drunk). His gf can’t handle it even though she said she forgave him, she kept thinking about him “cheating” and they ended things. After the breakup she slept with a mutual(ish) friend and they decided not to get back together for a while.

I think it’s a pretty good story. It’s a refreshing read since I’ve never read a plot like this before

Okay so he didn't cheat but MC does end up cheating on him, stick with me now.
He got shit faced drunk and his coworker ended up taking him to a hotel room, he did try to kiss her but stopped when he realized it wasnt MC he then proceeded fo pass out while she fell asleep watching him sleep, he wasnt aware of this and THOUGHT he cheated, he tries to just pretend it never happened and he nearly manages to cover it up when MC suspects something happened that day but the girl messages him really late apoligizing for keeping him there all night and MC sees it and has a breakdown and dumps him despite him apologizing ect, they get back together cus she still loves him and she's kind of mentally breaking down and wants him.there as support but she's really REALLY mentally strained and is constantly yelling and doubting ML she's miserable and jealous and just overall broken and ML feels responsible and decided they should spend time apart but not break up exactly. MC is completely against this and is constantly calling and messaging him which he ignores after a certain point thinking hes doing them both a favor but she has a breakdown and that's when MLs friend pulls up, ML at the same time finds out from coworker that they DID NOT sleep together and is so relieved that he immediately goes to tell MC but before he can say anything MC with dead fish eyes tells him "I fucked your friend.." they argue and he's yelling at her and shes still pissed at him for leaving her despite everything she's going through (his "cheating", her work, her abusive mother and brother attacking her).
She goes ro therapy and stuff, after shes somewhat started healing they once again get together , MCs "friend" tries to steal ML and fails horribly cus theyre both locked in but then we finally get to the main plot where we find out that MLs "friend" recorded MC without permission when they had sex and is threatening her with it as well as ML, MC ends up killing the friend and latest ch ML decides to take the blame but if CH1 is any indication MC is gonna end up turning herself in.
