Dongwoo is right though. Why is he even doing this, what's the benefit?! He betrayed the gang, not even really Jinu himself. Dongwoo isn't a threat to Jinu either, so the only party benefiting from catching Dongwoo is the gang. But here he is getting in danger, the danger Jinu is so scared of him getting into that he won't commit to a relationship, even though he really wants to. Let sleeping dogs lie and make an escape plan of your own. This feels pretty out of character actually, he's not that stupid, what is our dear author thinking
