They were each other's first love nd they're both still learning. Maxi is slowly finding her footing and with time she'll learn how to set boundaries that Riftan will eventually have to respect. As for Riftan..he loves her..or rather he's so consumed by his love for her that he becomes overprotective. He's completely unaware of how much he's suffocating her because Maxi rarely speaks up for herself and constantly doubts her own thoughts and feelings. Their relationship suffers from a serious lack of communication on both sides but I think they'll gradually grow and become better together.
Kind of genuinely confused how this is a romance… How is the male lead not incredibly abusive and manipulative? Is it just because it’s the first love she’s ever received? Or am I missing something lol
