No because as for now deep down Ian is like a vessel for someone's else soul (even though he and Brian are basically one soul according to the spoielrs). If i were in his position, youd have to put me in an asylum.
Ive read up to chapter 40 and some spoilers here and there, and honestly, if I were Ian, Id be insecure as hell too. Imagine that, in your sad and traumatic life, the only person who understood you and made you feel seen mainly did that because you were someone else. Then these new people treated you extra nicely, even glazed you, because of the past you kept expecting that person to come back eventually.
