Mangas have a huge fucking boner for romanticising student-teacher relationships and it’s insanely fucking creepy. Yeah, they didn’t end up together, thank god, but this push-and-pull didn’t last just a little bit. No, it lasted THE WHOLE INTIRE FUCKING MANGA. I’m not saying that the age gap is bad, that isn’t the point. If it had a different set up, if she were an adult (and I don’t mean 18 because that’s still a teenager) it would’ve been fine, but this beautiful art style was wasted on this bullshit and I’m just so disappointed because it had the potential to be so much more than it ended up being.
