Unpopular opinion. spoilers (maybe, I haven’t read all the comments)

I think the seme is almost as bad at communicating and over thinking as the uke, mainly when it comes to the bigger conflicts of the story, and the a few of the uke’s spiralling episodes could have been resolved if the seme communicated better. Now don’t get me wrong the uke is still bad a communication and a lot of the comments point that out, but, I don’t think the seme is like a blameless saint for putting up with him or anything

Examples (not in order):

- the seme kept it a secret that he was going to the gym, because he was was overthinking that the uke wasn’t satisfied with him, because he found a tonic he thought was meant for him from the uke, and instead of talking to him about it, he secretly started going to the gym, which the uke spiralled about as well, they were thinking the same thing, that their partners weren’t happy or satisfied with them, so they were the same yet it seems to be painted as only the uke being crazy overthinking.

-when the seme left after the last fight, he didn’t communicate that it would only be for a day, and that he was going to get some of his stuff from his parents house, and not leaving for good. I understand in the heat of the not saying that, but, you’re telling me after he cooled down he couldn’t have shot off a text to the uke saying he wasn’t leaving him and he’ll be back soon? And when he comes back he acts like the uke is crazy to think he was leaving him, or at the very least it was going to be a long time he was staying at his parents. Like in no universe that could be what would happen, I think communication from the seme after he cooled down would have been the right thing to do.

- the seme knew that the smile at the gym thing was bothering the uke and that the uke is the type of person to bottle it all up and stew over it, yet he didn’t bring it up himself, a short conversation would have been all it took to put his mind at ease. And yes I know it’s not the seme’s responsibility to read his partners mind and the uke is an adult who should communicate his emotions properly, but the seme knows that his partner has this type of personality and what just lets him stew until his breaking point? If he left it alone for a reason, like maybe he wanted the uke to tell him himself and talk about it from that angle afterwards, I would at least understand, but he didn’t say anything like that (unless I missed it) when it all came to a head.

- when the uke tried to ride him the first time, all he said was ‘enough’, no further explanation, no telling the uke it wasn’t him and that he didn’t do anything wrong, just ‘enough’ and moving on, I think anyone would be hurt by that not just an insecure, overthinker. If the seme had just told the uke then and there, that he was just too sexy and very tight from that position, that he would come to soon or something like that, the uke would not only have not been hurt and thought he did something wrong which led to a spiral, he probably would have gotten a little confidence boost out of it.

I think there are a couple of other small instances, but can’t remember the details.

If you read till the end here’s a, good job, cookie
