At that point it was too late because there were already records that indicated Sawadi was using way more magic crystals than he should have been able to procur. Her brother is high nobility and will have more influence in regards to royalty. If the royalty did know, it left alone so he would have enough rope to hang himself with.
They do realize he could have just destroyed the machines, why did she involved her brother? Did the royals know? Just turn off the auto mans stone machines and go on with life.
