well that was...abrupt i'd been following this story since it released and their early dynamic was so much fun, esp since kyuho just does not take shit it got muddled in the middle. the pacing was off, i feel like the author had something interesting in the ml and then couldn't figure out how to turn his attitude around, how to make someone who is realistically emotion- and commitment-avoidant into a loving partner. so the pacing ended up focusing a lot on him being an asshole and hurting kyuho, which made his sudden realization and the "chasing arc" ig fall flat. it wasn't balanced. and then the ending was extremely fast. it wasn't bad, i've seen worse versions of this very issue, authors not being able to execute the cool ideas they had esp in regards to characters toeing the grey area between orange/red flag but not willing to fully commit to writing abuse. (which isn't a criticism, but i'm of the opinion that if you write abuse there shouldn't be a happy ending where they end up together) but it still felt very womp womp
