When the groveling arc is over, if it deserves to be over, ML better not be the one keeping one foot in every door. He was still partially thinking of company image/outside image, even if he would claim it to be damage control to show Pilsang the news about marriage isn't true.
I sure hope Pilsang manages to build a life for himself and his own self-esteem before ML meets him again, because MC needs something to stand his ground.
