True. It does suck, but at the same time…. They’re both lonely & they want love. It’s probably actually worse for them, considering the fact boys take longer to mature.

I agree I normally don’t like toxic bl bc it’s so stressful but I like this one because it’s interesting and also I feel like a really good representation of how immature and power-obsessed high schoolers are. The characters have clear flaws appropriate for their age and it’s nice that it’s on both ends instead of usual doormat mc/asshole ml they’re both crazy

I really need to stop reading the comments on this one cuz the comments feel kinda brain dead for dragging the same "ugh, why are these high schoolers so dumb" over and over and over. It's his first life, he hasn't done anything more stupid than a normal high schooler.
He's actually realizing the truth of the world, his feelings, mistakes, etc at a pretty decent pace given his isolating and suffocating life. Does he need to be so perfect and only like the best of men with perfect control over his emotions? It's not that kind of story in the first place, and a lot of his behaviors/ways of thought have cultural context as well.
