One thing about BLs or romance stories overall is they will add "Ex" partner or crush that will intervene between them just for a little drama, especially if that "ex" is uke's, not only to showcase jealousy of seme but to prolong the story, it is so cliche it's laughable cause I can always guarantee "ex" will be rotten to the core as well, in real world possibility of meeting ex partner is low even if you live in small city and heaven forbid I genuinely meet my ex and he tries to go between my new relationship... Like that is insane and psychotic
