it’s not off topic lol, the mc has a clear reason. He doesn’t want to stand out as he thinks being neutral and boring is a way to show his true self (which he absolutely isn’t). also, He dresses like this because these are the clothes he managed to take with him when he ran away from his grandfather with Yeehan.
