I usually find some of the new gen(?) BL manhwa after 2021 just solely focusing on the art alone (and ofc the NSFW part) that sometimes i feel like the stories just keep repeating the same formula over and over again that's why i can't really "bonded" with the characters because it just feels like two dimensional sometimes, like the characterization and all that is just not so-deep to left an impression for me.

But then i noticed the "old" BL manhwa like for 2018 or before that, have a pretty decent and "natural" conversations, like... "Ah yeah.. i talk with my friends like this too" or like, "oh yeah, i did this and that too sometimes" so somehow you can relate to them, "bonded" with the characters and the story cause the characterization is more fourth dimensional and it just hits you cause maybe you, your friends, families, relatives, co-workers, etc are also behaving the same way in a way or two.

Maybe this is why tend to i like BL manhwa artists/author that have been in the industry for a long period of times, let's say... My top three of my favourite BL manhwa of all times, mostly come from 2016 or around that period of times. Like... Idk it's just the way about how the author write the conversations that feel sooo natural, like the flow is so smooth so when it move to a different bubble and panel, it still feel connected. Every time i saw a new BL manhwa, from these years around and i like it, usually it's just the same artists/author that i used to read in 2015/2016 or sum but since their art improves, i just didn't notice it at first...

Same as this manhwa, no wonder i like the way how the conversations going in their groups, or like how this character and that character have a different dynamics and how well the author play it out, and how each of the characters have their own uniqueness so all of the characters feel fourth dimensional, it didn't feel like overlapping eachother, like you can see yourself being in their friend group, or you can yourself in MC when he feel the inferiority complex because his bf is rich and he's from a poor family background, or when he admit he's jealous because of that, but also how his bf didn't want him to feel that way because of him, or MC internal struggles abt his feeling guilty because of his mom. Like at some point of life, i can see myself in each of the characters, that including the background characters too...

And this is what i rarely find in the new-gen(?) BL manhwa tbh.
