Because the baby is JUST ABOUT stable but he’s still a male omega and anything can happen. You have to prevent any issues from happening to the baby or the placenta. If he was a female with a healthy womb and no known risk factors, it’s actually healthy for the placenta to get a dose of sperm every now and then. It can lower the risk of preeclampsia and shit. But that’s ONLY if the birthing parent is safe and has no known risk factors. The doctors said “gentle” and that means wrapping it up too. Also, let’s remember that these two are brand new first time parents who don’t know if it’s okay or not and asking a doctor that question is seriously awkward. I only know because it came up as a question during my child development course and my professor told us about it. It’s not common knowledge at all. They will take every precaution they can in order to make sure the baby can survive until full term and have a healthy and quick delivery.
