Not fully about this story because I’m still hoping, but I’m starting to see trend where these authors are making characters so complex and ruthless but the don’t know how to redeem them. So it’s the MC just magically showing up and forgiving them like they were never treated like crap and they live happily ever after. No residual trauma or redemption. Am I the only one noticing this?
