pretty sure he just likes him not just his ass
Because he sees teach like an equal, remember he said he sees everybody else like dogs or something, like creatures he has to take care of. Ig since Teach comically enough teaches him about stuff and makes him feel different, well he sees only him as a human.
That’s my take and from what I remember, but maybe there’s also love in the mix but we’ll have to wait and see
