it’s been a while since a main couple had me giggling this much, so this was such a pleasant read! while i don’t think the prince is an amazing or especially well-written villain, he’s definitely one who instills fear (at least to me). he’s so unpredictable, that i never had any idea what he’d do next. and i think that’s what makes him SO unsettling. that said… i did NOT expect him to go down the incestuous route i honestly thought iona was just some long-lost princess from a neighboring kingdom or something, so that subplot genuinely shocked me.
